The map was included in Caliber since the very start of the closed beta test.
Emir Residence in Caliber is a picturesque estate of a Middle Eastern prince. It is a fictional location that was inspired by the real place. First, level designers developed the map in cubes. On this stage, one of the team members noticed that the project reminds of Villa Sticchi from Italy. Despite the fact that the villa is in Europe, it has a Middle Eastern atmosphere. All buildings of the complex were built in the Moorish style which is based on Persian architecture.
The map is symmetric and has two levels. One side has a helipad, the other — a garage.
Emir Residence features both day- and nighttime. This is the first Caliber map that has water. The new texture gave artists an opportunity to tinker with light. Illumination of buildings reflects in pools and adds something special to the atmosphere of the place.
